When planning your cannabis grow room, there are several factors to consider when it comes to the surface of your cannabis grow room enclosure walls.

If you have existing walls that are currently in place that you want to keep, you have several options depending on the type of wall.

Cannabis Grow Room Enclosure Walls

  • If it’s a steel building or corrugated steel building wall, it would be best to put a new wall in front of it. This will help with cleanliness and insulation.
  • If the existing wall is made of drywall or gypsum, it is best to seal it as much as possible and put a gloss white paint over it. For obvious reasons. it’s best to use a water-based paint for toxicity’s sake. The biggest issue when painting anything is the wear and tear that it takes over the months which needs to consistently be maintained and repainted.

As we all know, things always change. A well-executed plan today will not be viable tomorrow. It’s probably best expressed in terms of a Coca-Cola bottling plant. Coca-Cola has been bottling the same bottles and the same cans for decades, however, every 5 to 7 years they change the process to become more efficient. Even with the large budget for consultants, experts and analysts, they still make every effort to improve.

Advantages of Using Modular Walls

Using modular walls that can be reconfigured, moved or changed is the most economical and efficient way to build any grow facility. Between 80-90% of the work is done in a manufacturing plant under high-quality standards. The walls come pre-insulated and pre-manufactured to be assembled on site; whether with your friends over a weekend, or you hire a factory-trained installation crew to assemble, it is certainly the only way to go.

The surface of the wall can vary depending on your budget and its purpose. Modular walls can be made of shiny white aluminum, reflective material, bright white fiberglass-reinforced plastic, vinyl laminated drywall, or even white steel skins.  Fiberglass-reinforced plastic is by far the easiest cleanable product that can be wiped down with alcohol or other detergents without any degradation. These walls can integrate electrical requirements, doors, pass-through modules for products and just about every other accessory you could think of for traditional construction. These walls can come pre-manufactured with single doors, double doors, sliding doors, roll-up doors, high-speed roll-up doors and just about every other door type you can think of. The only limitation is your budget.
